Nellie Lomaloma follows the counsel from the Area Presidency to improve Sabbath Day observance.
Our family used to be very strict in the observance of the Sabbath. As years went by, we became a little slack, sometimes watching TV on Sunday, sometimes even shopping on the Sabbath.
When the Area Presidency asked us to focus on, among other things, keeping the Sabbath Day holy, our son suggested we have a Family Home Evening to consider how we could better observe this commandment. We did so, and now we spend useful time studying the scriptures, reading the Book of Mormon together, and engaging in uplifting Sabbath Day activities.
This has resulted in increased spirituality in our home, and not just on Sundays.
