Thank-you for considering AVCS for your counselling needs. Angie has worked in private and community counselling services for over a decade. Working with those seeking help for individual and couples’ issues.
Finding a counsellor whom a client feels comfortable with is a vital part of the therapeutic process. It is a significant factor as to whether the client achieves their desired therapeutic goals. Angie has a very calm and comfortable approach while working with her clients. Even when working with the most traumatic and difficult issues; they report the ease in which Angie enables them to open up and address even the toughest of problems.
As well as working with general issues, such as mental health problems, addictions, and personal and interpersonal ruptures, Angie has exceptional skills in counselling individuals and couples who have endured intimate & family violence. Angie understands the attachment trauma that is always present in the power and control cycle. And she is skilled in counselling individuals who experience complex feelings and thoughts subsequent abuse and / or neglect.
Seeking help can feel overwhelming for individuals and couples, Angie has a directive and straight forward approach but always remains sensitive and non-judgmental.
